About to buy a new car soon. I have about 10 thousand to spend im looking to spend between $5,000-$8,000 on the car and then the other money on some mods to make it faster It is pretty much between 2 cars a 95+ Acura Integra GSR or 95+ Mitsubishi Eclipse (only found the GST models close) Which would be the better car if im looking to put about 2 or 3 thousand on the car after i get it? first car i will ever buy i want one thats decently fast and can be modified cheaply ....suggest other cars if you like
Thanks
Thanks

The GS-T is certainly gonna be faster after $2000 in mods, but the Integra GS-R is gonna be more reliable and better suited for daily driving.

Ive been looking and im gettin interested in mitsubishi/eagle eclipse/talon GSX/TSi from 95+ i would like to know since the eagle is made in the usa does that make it worse than the eclipse?? because they are pretty much the same car... and whats the deal i heard something about the mits. eclipse motor being made in usa??

Um, the Talon TSi AWD and Eclipse GSX rolled off the exact same assembly line, and they were made in America. And just because a car was made in America doesn't make it any less reliable than a car that was made in Japan. Lots of Toyotas and Hondas are now built in America, and they're as reliable as they come.

ooh ok thanks =D Another thing is Ive heard that you cant get alot of miles on those Tsi Turbos?? like i heard someone say its hard to get them over 100,000 miles......The only ones ive seen are from 90k and up ive began to really like the Tsi for its turbo and AWD among other things but is this car not gonna be running good after 100,000???

Eh, if you take good care of them, it'll last a while...they aren't the most reliable cars on the road, and you'll probably have to replace some turbo stuff at 100,000, but they're good enough as long as they are well-maintained. And the bang-for-buck is just superior :P

Nope, you will need a few mods, basic I/E and a boost controller, then it might be a closer race. And Turbo wears out faster then n/a.

Yeah, you'll have trouble with a Mustang GT, but a few mods will give you the upper hand. Then again, if he is getting a 5.0 (1982-1995 V8 Mustang), the same can be said for him. And a 5.0 is more reliable than a DSM as well.
