18's too big

I just ordered 18 Flick Wasp rims and tires for my 96 quattro. Very nice looking set. However i was just out looking at my car and there is some kind of arm that seems to hang over the tire. When i look under the wheel well, just above me tire, i see what looks like some sort of controll arm, but it looks like it will be in the way when i get the bigger wheels. im sure you have seen this on your own cars because most of you have bigger rims, what have i gotten myself into??? :swear:

..it doesnt get in the way... 18s with 40 series tires are gonna be about the same diameter as your stock setup.

are you insane, stock rims are like 16" some of the newer A4's have 18" stock but not my 96.

well they did fit just fine and i tell you they look absolutely amazing. I'll post some pics if i can get the file size down to 80K.

oh yea i was looking at specs and i thought that the tire size has styed the same thrugh out the years
