I have a 1999 concorde, with the infamous 2.7 liter engine. It has 65,000 miles, and so far has been a great car,, wife loves it,,, Problem is, the oil light will flicker,,,,,,, then come on and stay on, I change the oil and used Mobil 1, due to the sludge problem with the 2.7.. When the light is on, there is no noises coming from the engine, and when the light stays on it is at idel, as soon as the engine is reved, the light goes out, does anyone have any ideas?

My wife has a 98 Concorde that is doing the same thing. It is in the shop right now being fixed. They have replaced both the oil sending unit and the oil pressure sensor..no fix. I keep telling them to check the pump...we'll see! The more I read on the 2.7, the less I like!...I've hated this car from day one, but it's the wife's and she likes it...This may be the last straw though!
