Whats an amp do? and whats with the two way amp and the multi-channle amp? Rite now im thinkin an amp just adds watts, but if u get enuff inna sub then you dont need an amp? O ya and how hard would it be to get 92+ civic headlights on my 91 hatch?

Putting any other headlights in your 91 other than crx headlights will all need custom modification. Even with crx headlights I believe it's the mounting brackets on the 91 civic headlight that you need to swap onto the crx headlights to get them to work.

a two way amp, is just like it says. it allows you to have two amps, and a multi-channel amp allows you to have more then two. im not 100% sure, but i DO know that you need a amp before you get a sub.

an amp is used to power speakers or subs. it takes power from the battery and then converts it into power that the speaker/subs are able to use. the amps have different channels and that is used for different amounts of things bein powered. for example to power all 4 of your speakers you need a 4 channel amp.

Don't do it man it's going to be a waste of time, do it once and do it right; just wait till you get an amp. All you'll probably get out of the amp is really quiet vocals and guitar (or treble depending), it's not going to sound good at all; or even decent.

you need 2 different amps for the speakers and the subs. unless you get one that is speacially made to power both.

dog...here's the deal :
ya amp goin't give you the power you need to push your subs hard. if you try'n hook 'em up w/out an amp, they goin't sound low as sh?t. if you got 2 JL subs you should stay in the same fam. JL make an amp called the 300/4 that'll be perfect for you. they cost about $400 from the manufacture or you can probably find it somewhere near half price on the web...oh yeah, from what you know about amps, make sure you get a pro to run it and set it up, they'll know about the tuning options on the JL's...

Get the amp for subs or you'll be wishing you had.
You don't HAVE to get a JL amp but it'd probably work better with it being the same brand. Vibe amps are damn good, I have a 300w (I've never hooked it up yet) but I heard it in the guy's car I bought it from and it was real loud. But when you're buying amps, some are rated higher than they will really push. I'd suggest going to a car audio store and see what brands they recommend. Just remember you get what you pay for, so you should probably consider what Navy I.C. recommended.
U-Haul haha...

1. you need an amp
2. you can get either a 2 channel amp or a mono amp(same as bridging to one channel)
3. you don't have to stay with JL but usually a company makes products compatible with their own things
4. you should be able to use that lanzar amp, but i am not too firmiliar with them.

you're not going to do any damage to your system if you don't use an amp, but it's going to sound really f?ucked up. i suggested the 4 channel (300/4) 'cause i thought you were running 2 in car speakers as well as you're subs. if you only running subs, then i would recommend the 2 channel (300/2) or the one channel (300/1). they go for about $300-$350 from the dealer, or you can still get them for about half pice on the web...
