I was thinking of having a custom bug shirt made. Anything is possible. Just wondering is anyone would want to buy something like this.

VW of America has copyrighted the image of the Bug. IF you try and market that image without a license from VWoA, they'll come down on you like a ton of bricks.
Some of the other things they've copyrighted:
The letters "V" and "W", if they are next to each other in that order.
The words, Baja, Bug, Beetle, Volkswagen, Volks. Buggy, etc.
The VW logo (V and W contained in a circle)
etc.
They have a team of lawyers who do nothing except search the NET, swap meets, eBay, VW classified ads, etc. looking for people who are marketing products using any of these copyrighted items.
Some parts suppliers can't even have pictures of their own private vehicles on their catalogs, without first getting a license from VWoA to do so.
Sure there's a market for Bug shirts and other products, but unless they're licensed through VW, it's not worth the hassle.

I'm licensed through VWOA and do shirts all the time.
If your work is for a club or organization (check your locals) you can print it through them.
The licensing process is free and easy. They just want to know who you are and make sure you're not doing bad stuff.
