When i 've come to a complete stop and try and accelerate the truck makes a low pitched whining noise for the forst 3 seconds. This only happens when i try and acceelerate quickly. If i start accelerating very slowly and get up to speed it doesn't make this noise. Any help?

What happens if you are moving slowly (say idling in 1st gear) and then accelerate strongly?

When i'm moving slowly then acelerate strong, it doesn't happen, i have to be at a complete stop, or very close to it.

Just a remote possibiilty. Check your differentials and transfer case for fresh fluid and check your propellor shafts for fresh grease in all the fittings.
Since it doen't make the noise out of gear (just hitting the accelerator in PARK) then I don't think it can be an engine-related noise.
Since it doesn't do it idling in 1st gear, I don't think (guess) that it is a transmission noise.
I can better guess what it isn't than what it is.
Just guessing.

yea, i don't think it is engine related. It just sounds like something is not greased properly. i think i'm just gonna take it to my mechanic and have him jump in the car with me and have him listen.
