how much a 351 weighs

i gotta pull my 351 out of my bronco (i was the one with bad piston rings and god knows what else) do i need a 1000lb engine stand or a 2000lb. the $ difference is $50, so if i can get by with the 1k, i would like too. thx!!!!

The 1K will do ya fine. I pulled a 400 out of my friends truck with a 1 ton and another friend of mine put a 460 in a bronco with a 1 ton. Now if your lifting a diesel thats a different story.

1 ton = 2000lbs

im renting an engine hoist, im talking about the stand to store it in my garage. 1000lbs or 2000lbs? its the kind where the engine bolts onto it.

Oops, I meant 1000lb on all that, not one ton.

The 1000lb engine stand should be more than plenty.
