Camber question w/pic

I just got this 93 Civic DX Coupe and it has Ractive Coilovers(sleeves). It needs an alignment to straighten out the neg. camber. How do you tell how much it has been lowered from stock, is there a way to measure from the ground to center of wheel or top of the rim? I am riding on 13" steelies for now till I get so more money. Reason I want to know how low it is, cuz I need a camber kit. Not sure which kind for my height of car. I have seen the couple different kinds like wishbone style(Skunk2) and adjustable balljoint(SPC). Which is better for a really low car, and which brands? I want to go as low as possible and still be able to get a jack under it in case of a flat.

hrmm, so there should be a way to figure out what stock height should be on 13's.

Go to a Honda dealer and ask for the correct manual, in there you can find the height spec's. Even better buy your own - www.helminc.com If you plan on working on your own car then a FACTORY repair manual is a MUST!

Camber Changes

If you lower your vehicle one inch front camber can change by approximately -.75 degree.

By lowering a vehicle two inches your front camber change will be approximately -1.50 degrees.

When you lower a vehicle three inches you will change front camber approximately -2.50 degrees.

Rear Camber also changes, but not as dramatic as the front. The above rates are an average, and may be different +/- for your vehicle.

skunk 2 has camber kits that are +4\_4 and your rear camber is less than you front and if you want to be ghetto just use washers on the back :screwy: It will work just woulnt use it myself

and for your car to be leagal the headlights have to be 22 inches off the ground my car has about a four inch drop and the headlights ar 18 inches off the ground

If you measure from the center of the wheel to the ground that is the radius of your tire and wheel - DUH! :)

You need to measure from the fenderwell to the ground or the front lip to the ground.

From the fenderwell to the ground is 23 1/2 inches.
From the front lip to the ground is 6 inches.

That is how it is now, not in the picture, I had to raise it to keep from wearing the tires out so bad.

Bought Skunk2 camber kit for the front and Ingall's for the rear. Will post pics after I install them next weekend.
