A crazy Idea from an insane person.

OK, I was wondering if it would be possible to take an AE86 Sprinter Trueno, remove the 4A-G motor and replace it with the Toyota Supra's twin turbo motor (2JZGTE). I am wondering how much cutting would be involved or if this is even possible. If anyone has any other engines that would be more suitable then please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YOu are insane. It might work, but you need to realize a twin turbo is much larger than a lowly old 4 banger. I think its not worth the trouble, since I doubt you have either car, or either engine. And its unlikely that you will ever get them if you dont already.

I MAY BE INSANE, but you are on of the people who would never create something new. Innovation is an insane persons sport, push the limits, etc... And I do realize its larger, I also realize it is heavier. But for a second imagine the speed and power such a car could have. A Trueno is a natural drifter, and with a little work on the suspension + chassis it will be able to hold that kind of power. The only thing I need to know is how much chopping you think is going to be involved?
I ask you guys this question because I wanted the help of a pro, but perhaps I am doing the wrong things to the wrong car and asking the wrong people. Maybe I should be playing with muscle cars instead, after all, they might be easier to swap.

What you are proposing ruins the Trueno's natural balance as a drifter and would cost you 2 arms and 3 kidneys. Don't bother.

Too bad what you are proposing has already been done. I have scans from a magazine, a guy in I think japan, somewhere in the asia's uses it for drag racing only, too front heavy for anything else.
