74 Stinger

Hello everyone. I am new to the Corvette forum having just picked up a '74 Stingray. It is in pretty good condition, only this morning the engine started make a loud clicking sound that is barely noticeable with foot off the gas, but when I get on it, it gets quite loud. Anyone have any guesses as to what it could be?

Big block? Small block? Lifter tap or clicking from where?
