that is absolute bullshit. you would've been taken straight to jail and lost your license plus got a shitload of fines. I know that here in Missouri, they have an "excessive speed" law, and im sure they have it elsewhere. anything that is 20mph over the limit or more, you go directly to jail. do not pass go, do not bullshit about going 120 in a 20mph school zone.

In texas (or this part) I'v never heard of an excessive speed fine. Buddy of mine got a ticket for 150 in a 55 and it was just a $350something ticket.

my boy decided to run from the cops on his bike one night..... 158 in a 35, 130 in a 45, good lawyer and $2000 later he got a revoked license for one year and 24hrs com service.

running from the cops is bad, you may beat the car but you cant outrun a radio.

damn..i fel so lucky...lastnight about 11:30 i went down a back road behind FAU (its a road paved over an old airport, S-turn city...lol). well i was doing about 65-70mph (speed limit is 25) drifting my ass off having a blast and i see some reflectors...and Sheriff ... i about shit my paints... hit the breaks (tires are still squeeling at this point) as im going around the corner almost lost it and i see not one but 2 cops just sitten there. i know they heard me cuz i have a loud car and i was hualin ass. well they didnt do shit but i think they called me in to be followed or some shit cuz i must have seen like 30 cop cars with in the mext 5 min...lol. im not doing that anymore :nono: :grinno:

where I live there is this road that heads to the mountains and the speed limit is 55 but then it gets s-curve crazy and I was doing that drifting uphill and just came out of one and cop passes by the other direction going faster than me and didn't do anything. Oh yeah, and further up the mountain the locals drive insane speeds (note: it's hard enough to just do the speed limit sometimes) and one false move and... death! I like being the turtle, can't afford tickets...

i have two tickets on my record. One is for 12 over, and one is for 10 over. that is within the last six years, yet state farm says i am a liability and cant drive my moms car at all. I have my own car, but when i go somewhere with my mom i want to drive because she is not the best driver, but i cant. My sister, who has multiple speeding tickets, tickets for following to close, three accidents etc can drive my moms car, now that she is married. Its bullshit!!!!!
