performance Chip for a 305

I have been looking at the hypertech and jet and also some chips on ebay and they all claim to do the same thing.I was wondering if their claims are true. Do they really get the 15 to 30 hourse with effect on the engine.

I don't know how much actual horsepower they give, but i got one and it reduced my 1/4 mile ET and that's what matters most to me.

when it says "(Requires computer and 160 degree thermostat) " what computer are they talking about, a house computer or something else? on mine how much hp do you think it might gain?

yea, it only works if you own a Dell

It means as long as you have a computer controlled engine you only have to put in a 160 degree thremostat to help prevent detonation. If your looking for something not to pricey with the same gains, check out www.tbichips.com they have chips for everything, if you look around a bit on the site.

The tbi chip claims to get from 15 to 20 but will remove your speed limiter so i believe i may go with it plus its only 50 bucks on ebay. Does anyone know if performs as well as a hypertech or jet chip?

thats just freakin hilarious. i put a jet PCM in my 94 and it did wonders. some people say that once you get into hardcore modding like cam jobs and ported/polished components that it can actually hurt performance. i wouldnt know though cause dammit if i cant actually win the lottery and be able to afford hardcore modding...
