I have a 2000 Ford Explorer and I just finished upgrading my sound system. I have 2 12inch pioneer subs with a custom box and 760w amp. Each speaker is 600w max, anyway the speakers are pioneer also, with tweeters and mid ranges. The deck is a JVC dvd touch screen CD/ DVD player. But anyway I want to increase the preformance and power to the 4.0L V6 engine. I want it to get up and go like a V8. Money is practicaly no object I have 8,000$ to spend. I was just wondering on some sugestions, any advice would be great. Oh and btw I am new to the forums.

Thx,
Jason

The SOHC 4.0L V6 205-210 horsepower 240-250 torque

5.0L V8 210-215 horsepower 280-288 torque
4.6L V8 240 horsepower 280 torque

They're all pretty close to begin with. That's why I went for the 4.0 SOHC V6.

I know they are all really close I just wanna know what upgrades would be good for it, I already had in mind some diablo chips and a supercharger. I just wanted some suggestions so I don't waste my money and get disapointed.

I have decided to lower it, put rims on it, paint it black. and also I am putting a cold air intake and rebuilding the engine. I am running headers with a Y pipe and I am saving up for a supercharger.
