Not impressed at all, Do you know how much money thoes people spent to run high 11's on a v-6 camaro? The ammount of money they spent doing that could of put an LS1 car in the low 11/high 10's.

yeah on a charger running six pounds and a 100 shot of nitrous, i dont know how cool that is. dont get me wrong, im all about an 11 sec sixer but it is a little rediculous to put that much money into the sixer car, especially since now its not streetable...

why do u need a v6 when u can get a v8, v10, or v12, the lamborghini diablo sv can do stock an 11.6-11.8 et so imagine all those kinda of upgrades on that, but at the same time who cares if the diablo is so much money, in my opinion its my favorite car ever made, i even like it more than the mclaren!

it's cool for those people when they smoke LS1 owners and see the look on their faces when they tell em it's a six.

there arent any mods that you can do to the diablo, they come from the factory race ready. alll you have to do is take out everything that you dont want with you while your running le mans...

not to start anything, but none of us here are in a rich family like yours, none of use were givin an almost brand new car, let alone 2! the reason most of us have camaros (besides the love) is because we know camaros are inexpensive speed. inexpensive and diablo don't go together :grinno:

p.s. if i could take the money that it would cost to buy a diablo, and buy a v6 camaro and put the rest into the engine... no diablo in the world would touch me :evillol:

ok guys come on, so diablo has expencive tastes, the car hobby in general is a very expencive one. can EVERYONE on the forum do me a personal favor, and stop throwing it back in diablos face that he was given his cars??? if he says something that you find dumb, or disagree with, then act as you would when the REST of us do it, and call us on THAT subject, please stop bringing stuff up from way back when, into current subjects.

I don't know why there aren't more fast 6's the six is naturally balanced and with the right eninerring could well we've all seen f1 stats right?, aren't many of them 6's or were just a few years ago?

actually the v-6 doesnt run very balanced at all. plus no one makes parts for the v-6. 3.8 parts are few and far between, and nearly non-exsistant for the 3.4, most performance companies only worry about the v-8 cars...

I always wondered that too. But now Nissan has brough the V6 into the light, although the new trend is 4-door, 4-cylinder turbos.

F1 cars arent v-6's, but indy cars are low displacement v-8's. the chevy racin team's indy car is a 3.8L v-8 that redlines at 12.5K...

I know, I'm saying, someone said let's put the 3.8 in an f1 car, I'm not sure Y this was said, sounds like a bad idea to me.

We have a 3.8 v-6 f1 block sittin in my uncles grage. the turbo buick tecnolgy was used in f1 for forever and dominated. The blocks are now sold as stage 1 on center blocks. they have more holes for head bolts. and they have more metal to them and have splayed caps. The blocks are about 90 lbs heavier than a stock block.


eight cylinders and huge displacement don't make the power. Air flow and fuel do. All power is is the ability to pump the largest ammount of air in and out the most efficent way possible.

actually i am a member at the camaro v6 board and some of those people dont have as much money inito their cars as you would think.
