Would like to know if I can remove the original P175/65R14 tires and standard steel rims with a set of 83 Celica P225/60R14 tires and aluminum alloy wheels. Is this too big of a jump in size? Celica going to charity but I would like to R&R wheels. Any advice would be helpful.

You post is a little confusing. You want to keep the steel ones and put aluminum ones on?

Oh shit, sorry, i didnt realize you wanted to put them on the corolla. Anyway, you could try it and see. They are wider, so you might have an issue where the wheel will rub against the splash guard. Its a 50 mm jump, might be a bit much, but you could find some spacers and have the wheels extend out a little further, but then you would have an issue of the wheels rubbing the outside lip of the fender. Best bet is to change them out and see.
