2000 sierra, v-6 auto
engine just shuts down at random while driving. it happens any where any time. it's gonna get me killed. it shuts off in the middle of the interstate .
i've had the starter module replaced twice, injectors flushed and cleaned to the tune of 300.00 ,new filter, new fuel pump and it still does it.
some times if i bump it into neutral and wiggle the gas it will pick up and rev so i drop it in gear, 30 sec. later it does it again. when it wont pick up and rev it simply dies and i coast to the side of the road. turn the key, it fires up and off i go waiting for the next time. some times it will go 3 or 4 wks without a problem then wham out of the blue it does it again. when it's not shutting down it runs great.
any help?????

A friend of mine had the same problem on his jeep. He would be driving down the road and all of a sudden the jeep would stall. Sometimes it would start right back up other times it would take awhile. We replaced fuel pump, plugs, wirers cap, The problem ended up to be the Crank Sensor. Hope this helps.
