Gear Grinding

I have a honda prelude '98 automatic transmission which has sport shifting. I lended my car to a friend of mind which is a rough driver, when i went to jail for about a month. When i came out i drove the car and everytime it goes from the first to the second gear the gears seem to be grinding. I was able to drive the car to and from work everyday. Pounding at first gear and when it automatically shifts to second gear i would let go of the gas so it would shift smoothly and driving to 3rd and 4th isn't a problem. Well i happen to lend the car to my friend once again and he took it too the mall. I guess he pounded it when the gears where grinding and every single one of my gears seem to be grinding and loose even the reverse. Now when i go to drive or reverse the car just sits there. I have to feather the gas to about 3000rpm before the car starts to move. Can someone tell me what i can do to get my car fixed and how much would it cost? Thanks
