how to change out Oxygen adn Knock sensors for 96 I30

Hi,

The "check engine" light just came up on my 96 I30, a computer diagnosis indicated a knock sensor and oxygen sensor circuit malfunctions. Any good material on how to change them out?

Or any suggestions as to verfying if either or both of them really are the problem. Happend after being stuck in slow traffic for about 36 miles on a hot So. Cal. day with the A/C on full blast.

i to have the same problem(96 I-30). yesterday my check engine light went on. checked the codes and said it was the knock sensor or circuit and upstream oxygen sensor or circuit. looking into replacing myself. if i find out any info will let you know.


looks like knock sensor is under intake manifold (has to be romved) and the sensor runs about 100.00.

and there are 3 oxygen sensors on the car 2 upstream (exhaust manifold) and 1 down stream ( after the cat.) about 65.00 each(upstreaam) 105.00 (down stream)

thats all the info i have now but will
