Should i buy??

Im looking at this beautiful 1996 Infiniti I30(aka Maxima). Im in love with the car, but it has 157,000 miles :eek7: ! The place is asking $6,500 for it. Do you guys think that this is a good price, and considering the mileage, will this car last for some time?

the mileage doesn't sound too good. Even though Nissan engines can run for a long time, you don't know WHO has been driving the 157000 miles before you. I'd say don't buy it, or atleast be very careful and have it checked out

My dad owns an I30, and it is an extemely reliable car, bar a number of things.


Make sure the tranny is no in need of rebuild or replacement. That is going to be one of the major problems. Also, make sure the MAF and exhaust sensors have all been replaced or don't throw a code. Also, check on the complete exhaust system and make sure it has no leaks or any malfunctions.

6500 seems a little high to me, but for all you know, this car could run as well as one with 50,000 miles. Just look for signs of wear and abuse. Remember, however, that it does have 150,000+ miles, so expect some cosmetic and interior troubles and maybe some minor engine repairs.

6500 is too high. it should be lower for a car w/ that many miles. you could probably find a better deal then that for that amount of money.

yea that mileage isn't good. don't jump on the first ride you see cause there's always going to be a better one out there.

hey what up...that is alot of mileage...you definently should talk the price down and bring it to a mechanic to see if theres anything wrong with it..but if it was well maintained it will last alot longer...
