Golf Gti 3, won't start plz help ?

Hi there,
i have a golf gti mrk 3, 2.0 8v (k, 1993) 100,000 (mileage).
Struggles to start only lately been doing this, taken it to the local reccomended garage, they said it may be the SPARK PLUGS (which i thought anyway). They have been changed,but still got the prob, STARTER MOTOR is doing its job and BATTERY is Fine. thought the I.A.T may have something to do with it (inlet air temp sensor) but think that is ok.... I'm very stuck please please help guys, many regards! or e-mail me plz [email protected]

If it cranks over fast enogh then have them check the fuel pressure since it's easy to do. It should be about 36 psi running, 44 psi with vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator disconnected and should not drop below 29 psi after 10 minutes from shutdown. You can also check the plug wire ends (physically remove them from the cap & Coil to see if any are deteriorated.
