is it a hemi, or a 440 or what?

that might be more trouble than it is worth, so it sounds to me...

You can put mopar in a chevy. It just is against some unwritten rule or something.

Well I like that idea about as good as putting a chevy engine in a ford or ford in a chevy. I think if you drive a chevy put a chevy engine in it same goes with a ford and so on. I hate it when you see a really nice 32 ford coupe and it has a chevy engine in it. In my opinoin if you wanted a mixture of all car companys then get an AMC then.

It would definately take some work to get it to mount in there but im sure its doable.

If you do it, NEVER open the hood in public. Unless of course you want to be hanged

Why not open your hood in public?? People dont hang chevy guys for running a ford 9" rearend in the back.

Well, have mounts fabricated and there are adapters so that you can put a chevy trans in there.. The main problem will probably be exhaust, good luck there.

a rear-end is one thing, cause the ford 9" is just manly, but a dodge engine?? hell no, i wouldnt do it. not cause they are dodges and im a chevy guy, but because dodge motors suck. they just dont hold up under the gun...

LOL....a dodge engine in a chevy, what is the world coming to. I can see people putting 350's in wrangler and what not, but a mopar engine in chevy is a discrace to the bowtie. And what body style is it?? Because chevy had enought trouble the fitting in the LT-1 into the Z28 through 1993-1997

BS i had a slant 6 that went over 250,000 miles. didn't have any power but it ran forever. the 318, 426, and 440 were good engines. the 360 is junk, and the new hemi is a joke, but dodge had some engines that were just as good as chevy.

although i dont think it would be cost effective to try a dodge swap in a chevy.

i see ur realatively new, if u click on his name and go into his profile you will see that he has a '90 camaro, which is the 3rd gen body style (like the one in my sig if u don't know).

the third gen engine bays are relatively large, i've seen plenty of people who put big blocks in them, what i would be most worried about it the computer and wiring and all that high-tech stuff that is over my head...

he'd most likely have to go carb if he did do this swap. mounting his throttle body on that engine would be no big deal, but the distributer is the biggest problem. to run EFI, you need that electronic pickup in the distributer for ESC and EST. not to mention provisions for the coolant temp sensor, knock sensor, and oil pressure sensor. then depending on the cubic inch of this dodge engine, he would need a different prom. 340-360 engines would probly run off a 305 or 350 prom, but any bigger he'd have to go with custom burnt or maybe a 454 prom

the only engines worth getting from a dodge are the old hemis which fit are better off in a willys or the cummins which is better off in say a Jeep or a pickup (like the one it came in)

putting a dodge engine in a chevy is like putting a vtec sticker on a lexus. People have a tendency to not appreciate your efforts
