Service guy at Ford recommended I get sub frame connectors as soon as possible for my 2004 GT convertible.
Is that necessary? Worth the cost? How much should something like that cost?
Also, while I'm under the vehicle, is there anything else worth doing to the suspension??
Thanks in advance.

yeah they are totally necessary, especially w/ that convertible. they cost about 100 dollars...you can get the bolt on kind or the weld on kind, ide suggest getting them welded on. you could prob take it up to a local welding place or an exhaust shop or somehting and im sure they could weld them on for a good deal.

called a place called 'Chicane Sport Tuning' in Torrance CA. They wanted $425 to weld them on. Said it was a four hour job. Is that a good deal?

Chicane Sport Tuning= specializing in working on Saleens and makeing parts that cost uber money and are uber not neccesary! They are like Vette/Viper/Porsche/BMW only garages cause they know there main customer base has money to burn.
You should pay $150 max!!!!!!! for having sub-frames welded in.

When I called a local place to have a set welded on my SVO, I was quoted $50, this is like a 1 hour job, if that. $400 is a straight scam.

Oh, and for other stuff to do on the suspension; the easiest change that makes a big difference is to replace your rubber sway bar bushings with urathane ones. A bushing kit is around $25 and really reduces the body roll when cornering.

HP Motorsport sells good ones, as does Kenny Brown performance. Both are relatively inexpensive.

Thanks for the tip. Just ordered them from Kenny Brown. Be here in a week. The salesguy told me it's about an hour job in their shop. Jeez, can you believe that guy at Chicane sports tuning told me it was a four hour job. Jerks.
