Should I Buy It??????

Hey whats up guys I wanted to ask you guys for some advice.
I am thinking about purchasing another eclipse from a local Dealer. Here are some of the stats tell me what you think...

Its a 1999 Eclipse Spyder
25,315 miles<~~Really low miles
Its got leather interior
Its Red with Tan TOP
Power everything
Keyless entry
The Car is completely stock and I will be the 2nd owner.
The car drives beautifully and seems to have been meticulously maintained and they have all the service records for the car up to date. And they are asking 9,900 for the car. Please give me some info and tell me what you guys think. Thanks

is it a spyder gs or gst???

9999 their asking price, or their sale price? if sale price, what is their original price

if it is a gs-t id go for it, if it is a n/a i would probably pass on it.

Yea its a GST. I baught it yesterday. I spend 3 hours at the car dealership. But I love it all I wanted to do lastnight was drive around all night. It was great. Convertibles draw sooo much attention. There was so many girls looking at me driving around last night.....I will post some pics of the car sometime today. Thanks for the help guys I am 100% satisfied with the buy!!!!!!! Oh and I ended up getting it for 10000 total with tax tag and reg included..

Hey anyone out there with a spyder know how to fix a bent arm in the rag top? I dont know exactly which one it is but from what I was told it was a very common problem in the spyders. They said it was the same arm on each side that is bent. Any ideas on how to fix? And how much will it cost me? Thanks for your help

The arms have a twist in them from the factory. I am trying to figure out a better design mine are pretty weak. However if they were stonger and didn't go back they'd probably rip the top. Make sure you hold the first bar up and back when putting your top up and down. Making sure it bends with the top and not against. You may bend the arm or worse yet the bar will rip throught the top. After I bent mine on the passenger side I figured out why it bent and didn't go down all the way.

I found a 98 Eclipse RS at a dealership for $8,000. It's got 83,000 miles on it. The guy that owned it before obviously did some upgrades to it because the windows are tinted, the wheels are 17 in. and there's a huge chrome tip on the tail pipe, although I don't really care about that. I haven't looked under the hood yet, I may go back the 17th to look at it... What do you think?

i was doin some search and i came across this 1995 GSX and i dunno if i should buy it... the price is 6500, 5 speed, condition good and the mialedge is 130000 i noe thats a lot so i was wonderin if i should do the 4G63T complete swap and the swap is 1200 so if u think i should buy the car and then do the swap or jus buy the car an start modin???? i need help thanc guyz

Kyvec- The price seems a bit to high for that. Just for an idea I bought my 98 gs with 72k miles with a 3 year warranty for 7500.

95eclipsegsx that seems really high for a 95 with 130k miles check the blue book on it IMO. www.kbb.com

look sorry i jus saw this it also has this.....full 3 inch exhaust downpipe-back, apexi WS cat back system. 17" RSL Limited wheels, GM MAF Translator conversion with blow thru setup i dunt noe if that help but....

Kyvec You can hear alot of bad things about any type of car. Its all about your preference. I am on my 2nd eclipse. Owning an eclipse is like a way of life. And you better get a good tool box. LOL I have spend many many hours on 1st eclipse. And many busted knuckles. But I wouldnt trade it for any other car.

Oh and make sure you have a few spare engines in the garage "just in case"

Oh and to help you make up your mind......I live near the jersey shore...And the girlies love seenin a nice shiny eclipse driving down the road. Always draws alot of attention.

I'm taken my first trip down to the shore this weekend in my "boosted Droptop" guys Wish me luck.....
