Ok guys I havent posted in awhile but I have 2 questions. My 88 Prelude S is coming up on 200,000 miles very soon and I want to get the engine checked out. What should I get done besides the obvious stuff and how can I tell if the engine and transmission are the same as the day it rolled off the assembly line? Id love for it to all be original because I bought the car with about 160,000 and all Ive had to do is replace a 100 dollar radiater and regular maintenance oil changes, spark plugs and wires etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

hard to say what you should get done without know what's already been done on an older car.

Yeah I hear ya Del. The thing is I bought the car from a guy who had it for a long while and he told me he was going to run the car until it blew up and get it towed to a junkyard. I didnt really like the sound of that but I was 16 and got the car for $600. So this was my first car that started my LOVE (wish I knew how to underline!) for Preludes. Then I bought my 94 SI that as some of you might remember I wrecked =( and let my sister have the 88. After alot of begging I got my 88 back and I love it to death. I dont know ill get it checked out and ill let you guys know how it goes so maybe somebody will get some help from my posts. We all know how great Honda engines are but ill be one of the many to push them to high mileage. Thanks for all the help ive gotten from this site.
