Thinking about buying a 2008.....

2008 Chevolet Silverado 4X4 2500

I know, but in maybe that year I might get rich...

I drove a 2003 Chevy Silverado 4X4 before, and it wasn't that bad as a truck. Great on gas, and too expensive, but i'm willing...

Is it worth it?

I guess if you start saving up now, you should have a nice chunk of change. Are you planning on buying it new? If not you may want to look at a GM certified used truck. They come with a warranty and are checked to factory specs.

Its funny you come to a Siverado Forum asking if buying a New Silverado would be worth it, I love my Silverado, when it is time I will replace mine with another one, Probably a 2500. You need to choose which truck to buy with which one fits your lifestyle, Test Drive Ford,Nissan,Dodge, chevy and see which one is more comfortable for you and which one fits in your price range. If you dont tow heavy loads or work your truck a 3/4 ton (2500) isnt needed. a 1/2 ton (1500, F150 etc..) will give you a better ride and still has great towing and work capabilities. by 2008 it will be interesting to see what changes will take place on the new trucks.

I think that would be awesome! You should start saving up now though because you're gonna need a nice chunk of change. Yeah i think it's worth it! Buy it new, that's the way to go. No point in paying almost as much for a used one. Good luck!!

Don't over look a used truck, especially if you're short on cash. I bought my 2000 in 2002 from a certified pre owned chevy dealer and saved nearly $8000 had I bought the a similar 2002. Plus it only had 40K miles.

Oh, I didn't mean anything bad about used cars or trucks. I mean, i have a used 2000 Chevy Silverado. I was just encouraging him to get a new one if he could, cuz at the top he said he wanted a new one. Just thought i'd clear that up.

I do want a new truck, but I'm not in a hurry to but one,

I like to get one before I go Camping again or before I decide to go anywhere far.

but than again

there's too much rain, so it wouldn't be much fun driving far, or camping.

I might as well wait til next summer...
