2001 4Runner is locked up

Hey help me! I left town for a few days and when I returned I could not turn the key in the ignition or take the car out of gear. (automatic) Car is locked up and I cannot start it! It is like the key is the wrong key but it is not! Help me, I am stranded!

This is "Mudhead" replying to my own posting! My S.O. a very hip car savy gal told me what was wrong! The steering wheel was locked and a mere "jiggle" while turning the key over did the trick! No problem, just stupid me! lol
