Ferrari 275 GTB by Hiro

Hi Folks,

Model Factory Hiro has come out with another stunning Multimedia kit. This time it's the Ferrari 275 GTB:

I think, Hiro kits are just great! Quite expensive at around $200, but extremely detailed and simply stunning!
But why always Ferraris that already exist as plastic kits???? Why don't they do something really new?
Isn't there somebody out there that can tell them we are anxouisly waiting for kits like Ferrari 250 MM, 250 GTE, 330 GTC or 365 GT 2+2 (400/412)?

Can't agree more, but I would like to have this one also :-)
Maybe time will do good for Hiro's range, if only the price was a bit lower (not to much).

I also hate white metal, to me that cheapens a model...those parts are much cleaner in resin IMHO. I'm not impressed w/a model's weight, I'm impressed by it's engineering and finish and attention to detail. Seeing all that white metal tells me "no, I really do NOT want it"!. I have the Hiro 250 Testa Rossa, I'm building it soon, and I'm not looking forward to the parts that are white metal. Why do they use white metal? That's simple...it's cheaper to make those parts, and if they screw them up, they throw the metal back into the pot and remelt it. They can mold more parts more quickly in white metal. I can see a few parts in white metal, but this 275 looks to be over 50% white metal. Glad I have the Italeri kit.

Both, Revell and Italeri, have done the 275 GTB/4 and the 275 GTS/4 NART Spyder.
Only significant difference is the engine which has twin camshafts heads, hence the /4. It's with 4 camshafts.
