Sounds like a fuel issue to me, If the car starts then dies. Try checking the simple stuff like the fuel filter. Turn the key to the on position (dont crank it over) do you hear a buzzing sound? You fuel pump will buzz to prime the car before starting. It could be the fuel cutoff relay. Sometimes they will go bad.

You might need to adjust the idle. Will the car run if you give it some gas and stay on the pedal?

I had to replace my fuel pump and filters on my old accord, this solved my problem. Mine was also dying when I started it

Mine does that when my 4WS is not working sometimes. I try to start the car too soon after shutting it off to reset the 4WS.

You might check to see if his is a 4WS.. Is it doing this all the time? Reset the ECU.
