Congrats to you! :) Take your time setting a wedding date. My hubby and I were engaged a little over 4 years before we made it to the alter. Some thought we never would make it there, but we wanted to be financially and emotionally ready. We had some bills to take care of beforehand and what not. As for housing it worked out great because I was renting my mother's house for a long time then ended up buying it.
So anyway take your time and get married only when YOU BOTH are truly ready. Don't let friends and family interfere, you have to do what's right for you when you feel the time is right.
