Definitely NOT for looks since you can't see it unless you kneel down and LOOK under the car. I have one on my Civic, and it does indeed help. It won't help to the extent that a swaybar would by any means, but it did dial some understeer back into my handling which was good since my car was strongly biased to oversteer, and slide the rear of the car around with minimal effort. Now i can't slide it so easily, which should help me out when I auto-X. It doesn't make the front plow any more than it did before either, just balances everything out. Also streering is a little more responsive as well, turn in seems to be quicker.

The front bolts to the stock lower tiebar points, which is really the inside end of the lower control arms, and the back part bolts to the chassis support brace that is bacially what the steering rack is attached to.
