hi im new to the site here hoping someone can help me out . ive got 1990 tallon with turbo awd. and my car has just start this problem . starts fine when im first go some where that takes over 45+ mins away and shut my car off and leave it for more than 5 to 10 minutes it will not start for a hour our 2 .after i got it back going i shut it off a couple times at home and tried to start it right after i shut it off and it starts. but i waited 20 mins again went back and it wont start . turns over but will almost sounds like its going to fire but dont . i didnt have anyone around today to help check for spark but what i could see doing it myself it didnt looking like the spark. i got my ohmmetter out and couldnt get a reading off the primary but the secondary 13.84 and my book said it should be arould 13.85. could it be my coil pack or something else. and why could i not get a reading off the plug primary.

your help would be cool scott

sounds like your fuel pressure is bleeding off, did you hook a gauge up and watch your pressure when its cold key on only, then start the car and watch it while idling let it get hot then shut it off and watch it, see if it bleeds off then if it does key on again and see if it will build up to specs. if not the pressure regulator is bad or the injectors are leaking.

thanks for that idea blownR1 but the fuel isnt my problem checked it and the fuel is fine . I went for a drive came home waited 5 min and check to see if it would start and no go . so i checked for spark and there was bearly a spark so would would that be a coil pack problem.and it also started a new problem today as well the idle went from about 900 rpm to 1500 to 2000 anyone have any ideas on this .
