need help antifreeze leak

Just changed out my thermostat on me 97 4.0 sohc and now I have a water leak coming from somewhere in the area. Any one else had any problems with the thermostat housing>

Did you replace the seal around the thermostat? If no, replace with new one. Also did you remove radiator hose from thermostat housing before removing housing to get to thermostat? If yes, you probably did not tighten the hose clamp enough.

Yes, I Agree with XLT03, make sure you clean it as well before put the seal back. BTW: when you mention that you have a water leak from somewhere in the area, are you talking about in the thermostat housing area or somewhere else?
