Ok, what BOV are you using?

what BOV are you using? and what do you mean by the vacuum line was holding it open? was the BOV stuck open? if so you wouldn't be able to build boost cause that would cause a killer leak. If you're still using the stock one I can GIVE you a new stock 2g one, or you can buy a 1g one for pretty cheap. you might wanna invest in that anyway if you don't have one. Good luck

well thanks i know i'm not planning on turboing my 420a.......i already did but the only problem was my boost was very low if any and mu bov was always stuck open. this of course preventing boost; therefore, that is why i am on here asking if there is a certain vaccuum line i should tap into or not because my bov is always in the open position???

If you are trying to build reliable boost, don't get a stock 2g bov. They are notorious for leaking even at low boost levels.

okay. the 1g is alot better right??

BOV's get vacuum from the intake manifold. Stock 2g turbo BOV's have a line that runs directly there. If your BOV was open, you wouldnt build any boost.

yes i know thats why i was asking if their was any other line i should tap into or is my bov fucked because when i put a vaccuum line to it, it stays open....

where exactly do you have the vacuum line run from? from the BOV to what? cause for some reason it seems as if you have it hooked up wrong... or like you were saying your BOV could be shot, spring could be broke!

on the intake portion of the engine i have the line connected to the egr vaccuum line i spliced it and ran the line.....
i'm not to sure, the bov looks pretty cheap so i really am not surprised that it isn't working! my buddy gave it to me so i installed it it's some dumb plastic factory one! i think i would be better off buying a hks one like my friends.

ok you dont want it hooked up to the EGR! you need to get a line to it straight from the intake manifold... the pipe that runs to your valve cover will work! and how did you connect the BOV to your piping?

this sounds like total BS...
if you got the knowledge to turbo your 420a and can't figure out how to make a BOV run properly...

Well maybe i think it was just a mistake since there isnt exactly a full manual on how to turbo the car
