I tried searching, but to no avail. What do you do to pull codes again? On a 92 GT.

Locate the self test connectors on the drivers side inner fender well. You can find these, by finding the one which looks similar to the shape of a house. Hook up with a jumper wire as shown in the diagram below. Turn your key forward onto accessory (KOEO, key on, engine off), and wait for the codes. Codes will start with an 11 (meaning ok/done or ready) followed by any thrown codes, then will end with an 11. (note, that if no codes are thrown, and 11 will appear just once). Fix any codes from the KOEO test before you do the running test (KOER, key on, engine running). Finally when finished reset your cars computer, do this by disconnecting the negative side of the battery while leaving your headlights on for 20 minutes.

Check engine light on the dash, or you can use the multi-meter and count sweeps of the needle.

Well it didnt work. I hooked it up perfectly to the drawing. I tried it like 5 times with and 5 times without the VOM re-adjusting the wires every time to no avail. When I hooked up the last wire in the drawing I could hear the fuel pump prime as well as a couple relays clicking on and off. Then the CEL came on, but did not flash when I turned the key to either ON or ACC.

I'm sorry, I didn't see the part in your post where you said the light came on. Did you try starting the car and running the test. Could be there's no stored codes for KOEO. Try KOER now, and see what happens.

Would the same sequence hold true if I wanted to reset the ECM on a 97 Cobra?
