anybody know??

i was wondering strictly out of curiosity if there was any difference between the fuel injectors for an LT1 and the injectors for an L32 (v6), other than the flow rate. as in: would you be able to use v-8 injectors in a v-6?

they will fit but, the v-8 injectors are probabally have different flow rates and what not. If you try to use larger or smaller injectors with out changing the computer programming, your fuel curves are going to be totally wrong. Also they might be different impeedence injector. If they are, you will fry the injector drivers on your computer.

v8 injectors in a v6 not a great idea, if you can pull it off, you would have to reprogram the ecm to accept the v8 injectors, via burning a new chip. you would still probly have too much fuel going into the engine due to the higher flow rate, esp the LT1 ones. also, LT1's use the sfi system whereas most v6's use mpfi so that can make a difference also

i was just wondering out of curiosity, i counted on there being some form of reprogramming and such. i was more worried about them fitting at all. i am currently toying with the idea of building myself a supercharger kit (no one makes one for the v6) and was wondering where i would get all the parts for it (no one makes hi-flow injectors for the v-6). i think mounting, belt routing, and ecu re-programming wouldnt be too much of a head-ache, but i am worried about the fuel system and engine buildup...

also, the 3.4 v-6 uses sfi, just for future reference...

well i'd personally would like to wish you luck. i love seein some1 do something w/ thier car than no one has done b4. hell, if u manage it, u might start a trend and open up a new performance option for the v6 camaros. and anybody that makes camaros go fast is a friend of mine (v6 or v8)

If you had a reprogrammed chip, you would be just fine. Also most modren engines use SFI. I would almost be willing to bet that the injectors from the two engines are the same size. The main difference would be the fuel maps in the computer

you won't get any gains in power by adding injectors. The only reason to repalce injectors, besides having bad ones, is to be able to spray enough fuel to support the HP you are making.
