Howdy all!

So here is the deal.
I’m trying to pull my automatic transmission on my ’87 CRX as I am putting in a manual.
I canNOT get that big o’ sucker out!!!
I have every bolt off and I have managed to pull the transmission off then engine about an 1’ ˝”. From there its stuck, I cannot get the transmission to drop off.
Its like there is something in the middle still stuck.
There are no hoses or anything obvious.
Do I just need to keep pulling?
(Any more that I pull and tug the whole engine rocks like the transmission is still attached…)

Any ideas?

Please advises,
Garth

Did you take the cv joints off from both sides? If you only took off the driver's side, the passenger side will slide a little but won't come off until you take off the lock, no matter how hard you pull.

Ya, both CVs are off... Whole axles in fact.
Torque converter?
Perhaps that’s it because I have no clue what your talking about… J
More input! Please.

The torque converter is bolted to the flywheel. They usually have an opening covered by a rubber seal at the bottom where the engine meets the transmission. You need to remove the bolts and turn the engine to get to them. Usually 4 or 5.

Ya, but I cant get to the Flywheel unless I get the transmission off… ??

That's why I mentioned the opening at the bottom. You don't have to take the transmission off to do this. You do this in order to take the transmission off.
