Anyone know how big they are and the estimated limits for them? :bandit:

What to you mean estimated limits? The RB20DET injectors I believe are 270 cc. You can upgrade to 550cc if you get a better fuel pump and retune your ecu.

Sorry, I meant like when do they need to be upgraded. Some people have told me that they are good for 300hp at the wheels. At 270cc i'd say they should be right? Any ideas?

I am about pushing about 270 HP with no problems with stock injectors. I don't know the limits of them though. I will be upgrading to 550 here soon.

Tilbrooks in Adelaide have pushed the RB20DET standard injectors to 220rwkw using a HKS GT2530.
To get this they used a Highpressure fuel pump and an adj. rising reg. fuel pressure reg. They then re-mapped the ecu to suit.
This is the absolute max they said they were able to get out of the std injectors.
Some ppls may say BULL $#@! but image a turbo pumping more pressure through allows you to squeeze more air in through the Inlet Valves for the duration the same is with the Injectors..
The duration for when they are open you are able to squeeze more fuel through with a higher PSI fuel pressure..
You need to get the ECU remapped or use a fuel comp but.
I think the Std. AFM maxes out at around 180rwkw.
But if you are going to the trouble of getting 220rwkw from the std injectors you would already need a remapped ecu or fuel comp. so with the remapped ecu or fuel comp you are able to fit a Z32 AFM and tune to suit.

Most injectors no matter the size are around $250-300NZ each new.

Ben
Would you know if using large injectors actually affects the fuel atomisation?
.... erm..
What I mean by that is will it not spray as well under light throttle causing reduced economy and drivability?

I am pretty sure it does effect it.
Your are better off to have more rather than larger if the situation allows.
Look at Reece. 6 720cc's and 6 440cc's. HE could have gone 6 1000+ cc... but it would be very hard to get the car to run right...
Big injectors can cause alot of crap, thats why you need to get the right size. Same goes with anything, Too big a turbo, too big a Intercooler all can be bad...

You actually put two turbines on an RB20? Why? I don't think three cylinders puts out enough to be efficient. I've never seen this before and I've been here in Japan for over 3 years and in all the magazines I've looked at.

rb20, thats a 2 litre right.
so 1l for three cilinders. you live in japan right? Never seen a Charade turbo? 990 cc 3 cil. turbo.
IN europe we got a Smart. a 660cc 3 cil turbo. pushing 55kw, that is not much. but there are turbo's for 500 cc also. So there will be no prob with finding a suitable turbo. The HKS 2530 will not work obviously...
