The fuel gage seems to be at Full the 1 time I start it, Empty the next, regardless of what is actualy in the tank. It seems to be an electrical issue, not the float. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a loose wire or bad connection to me - could be in the dash, under carriage or near/on the tank itself!
Look for the obvious first, loose or broken/fraid wire - if not found - You'll have to follow it out with a Volt/Ohm meter! I suggest you start from the tank and work back towards the guage, jiggling the wire or connection as checking.
Usually a pegged meter reading is signs of an open circuit or loss of ground.
Hope this quick reply helps - let me know?
