Posi going out

Sup fellas, I was wondering exactly what happens when my posi goes out. I mean is it just gonna stop spinning both tires or will it just not turn them at all.

Thats not my car. And its limited slip. Its still a posi its just not a locker. They work on the same basis. the thing is that with a limited slip u can turn and the rearend will let the outer tire spin faster to make up the ground. A locker is just that both tires will turn at the same speed no matter what.

When a posi wears out it will usually just start doing the one wheel burn outs. However sometimes when they wear out they release some metal shavings that can harm bearings inside the rearend.

posi and limited silip is the same thing.....

you will notice one wheel burnouts if the clutches inside are going bad. if the spider gears are bad or the ring ands pinion, you will get some popping at low speeds.
