525i power steering

i got a 94' 525i and the power steering is not working after i release the steering wheel. whats wrong with it? any help is appreciated. i dont know much about cars.heh. besides the power steering fluid, it said that in the book something about a v-belt? (no clue where/what that is). thanks guys

check the fluid level in the reservior on the L/S of the engine bay.........it's not a belt problem as yyou only have 2......one for A/C and the other runs
EVERYTHING else.
