honestly, since you asked.....

lowrider style wheels (100 million spoke) do not go well on camaros.....

Sorry man.

color looks good and you could use longer exhaust tips or turndowns.

Thanks man, my first military base was in southern CA. So i'm became really down the lowrider culture. I know it getting away from the traditional style of a Camaro but hey being different is very gratifying. Also, I'm the original owner, since 1980. OG.

The wheel and tire combo make the stance look horrible plus I don't like that style rim especially on that Camaro. I also have never been a fan of yellow but I'd let that slide.

Next mods planned: AirRide suspension system (airbags) so it will sit low, interior & truck redone, engine dressed.

Hey, I like the camaro.
But I gotta say like everyone else has.........the rims gotta go! The gold in the rims clashes with the yellow paint.

Other than the rims, the car looks to be in great shape. It's unique, but in a good way. :p

Very nice!

Hey thanks Karen, appreciate your comments. I agree there is some clashing with the wheels. Too late now, maybe someday I'll get solid chrome wires.

That would look great!
I completely understand why you have those rims on there if they came with the car. It's really easy for everyone to comment on them, but they aren' t the one's who have to pay for new ones!!! :iceslolan

Beautiful car........I'd drive it

I agree with the above people. The back looks lower then the front, which is fine on a lowrider truck, but doesnt look right on a camaro. The color is nice, but the spokes leave a little to be desired. SHarp looking car none the less, and you being the original owner, thats impressive.

i dont like the ground effex... i could live with the wheels tho but the ground efx make it look boxy... by the way are those off of a 3rd gen??

I think the car looks extremely clean! Again like most im not a fan of the wheels but im somewhat of a stock nazi.

The only thing I would suggest is to liven up that paint a bit with some racing stripes or some flames or something to give it a less plain look.

yea from the back shot there the wires wheels dont look half bad

Thanks for comments everyone. I ordered the ground efx from classic industries, they're for 2nd gen. 1979-1981. The shocks and suspension are original and maybe thru time caused it to sag somewhat (back lower than front). Hopefully the airbag set-up will improve stance.

All I have to say is thank god you didn't do that to a first gen, a 70-73, or a 93-02 Camaro! You could pull 7's with a 74-81 Camaro, I will never like it. :eek7:

Oh dear God?!?!? Nothing worse than a bad case of sag ass... unless its sag ass with a set of gold spoke rims.

I'm cool with everyones comments and confident engough to take the criticism. Remember, I've been in this Camaro game a long time and will fix this car to my grand scheme (low n slow). I get lots of love and ready to take Camaroism to another plateau. In history there has been people who stepped off and did something no one else had done. They were roundly criticized, but hey society advanced.

I admire your ideas. It's great to see people like you not be afraid to go out and be different. Be the trendsetter.........people will look back at you and say, "damn, that guy knew what he was doing all along!"

I think you should sell the camaro and start over with a Impala SS.

I really like Camaros and I've had this car a long time and will not part with it. From my time living in So Cal I've said I would lowride this Camaro. I know everyone has Impalas, Cutlesses, Monte Carlo's, Caddies, etc. But hey its been done before. The lowrider history book featured a Camaro lowrider. Being stationed overseas and other family responsibilities prevented me from doing it earlier. Now its on!!! I like shaking things up somewhat to the risk of being excluded from the lowrider crew, muscle crew, and whomever else.

well i got something you should do... go buy a dodge caravan and turn that into a low rider. and belive it or not but i have seen a few low rider camaros before and they never looked good... thats why you hardley ever see them.

I heard a lot about Thailand. My first base George AFB, CA had a lot of Thai wives. The planes (F105 & F4) at George were in Thailand (Korat & Udorn)previously. I did spend a lot of time (4 months) in the PI. Clark AB & Manilla. That was the fantasy island.

west coast fantasy, it is your car and you do what you want.

Always nice to see some Military (AD and retired) online! I have been to Japan twice (Iwakuni for 2 short tours and Kadena during one of my Iwakuni tours) and to Guam. Thinking about going back to mainland Japan for a 3 year tour with my wife and 2 daughters, Just have a lot going on right now keeping me from going anywhere.

Hey man its your car do what you want, go low and slow but as the rest have said atleast get you a nice set of rims for that then. Maybe somethin like off of a newer vette with low pros on it would make it look abit more mean while shes riding low like your wanting. Other than the rims its a sweet ride and the yellow makes it stand out more to me so I like that and the g/e dont look to bad.
