Cooling the engine always comes before power. Because if you blow your engine your goin to be payin more money then god for a new 1.

yeh cold air are better for cooling, but i got a short ram becuz i have an automatic and they only make cold air intakes for manual lancers but short rams have a better sound.....i dont race it so it wont blow the engine
