general perfomance ?'s

hey im considering a 95-98 GTI VR6 5spd for my next car. ive got a couple of questions about it. What is the stock 0-60? 6.7 sound right? Is it expensive to maintain? Are the any problems in particular I should look out for? such as corrosion of the head or something? And lastly, what is a good price for one? $5-8,000?
