Wrong to bring old threads up?

Someone was bitching at me the other day because I was reading and responding to older threads. I tried to explain that I was new to the forum and just reading up on the past / what I missed out on.

Is there something wrong with that?
If not, back to digging I go. (read all the current $h!t) (A lot of the new er threads are mine anyhow :p)

Nothing wrong with that IMO, unless you're bringing back a flame war or some stupid thread that just wouldn't die. I play necromancer some times and go beyond the--*drum* da-da-daaa! *drums*--first page.

I just noticed some of the $hit I am looking at now is from last January :eek:

It's all good. If you re open a conversation and it keeps going cool, if nobodys into it anymore it'll just drift back to the bottom.

Unless locked should be fair game though bringing one back from months ago may get you a bit of grief, but what the hell if your new then why not :)
It would also depend on what the topic is.

I think it's an excellent idea to bring up old threads. It's been so long since most of them have been looked at/contributed to, and we have so many new faces on OT right now, that it's a great way to jump start the forum. :) Keep up the good work.

IMO i think its a laugh to bring old posts back out and say to your self.."did i really post that" :confused: :eek:
