Hi all,
I recently bought a 94 camry and the car seemed to do fine. I replaced plug wires and spark plugs. Wires since one of the wires I discovered was broken when I was changing plugs. The car though was running just fine even with the broken wire set.
Since I changed them the vehicle seems to stall at stop lights when I brake. It also stalls if I stop on the freeway....The check engine light seems to come on periodically too - dont know what codes, havent used an OBDI before. Its been to a mechanic but he wasn't able to duplicate the problem and said it could be the EGR valve or a neutral switch (?) Thought I'd get some advice beore I start changing parts. Thanks for any help!

You might be burning oil with fuel which makes your car stall at low rpm. I had an old car which did the same. I found that the oil burning caused the car to stall since the proper fuel/air mixture is contaminated with oil. You might wanna get that checked first

Here is a site that shows how to obtain trouble codes. The codes on the site are for ODBII, so don't go by the code explanations, only how to obtain them.

Thanks all.
It turned out that it had misfire codes and replacing the distributor cap and rotor seems to have fixed it - atleast so far. I'll post if something new is seen.
