Anyone running one of those interfreezers. From what ive been reading it sits in line with the upper intercooler piping. Actually i think it replaces a section of it all together. Just wondering how effecient they are if at all. this is the website http://www.cryofuzion.com/products.htm#Interfreezer
It seems like a good idea but i dont know how much of a difference they would make to a daily driven weekend streetracer.
Check out the cheetah sprayers too that seems interesting but far fetched.http://www.cryofuzion.com/products.htm#Cheetah

are those juss for turboed cars?

they can be used on turbo and n/a cars. For turbo cars they have an intercooler sprayer which just sets in front of the intercooler, and for n/a cars it runs into the intake pipe. All the people i know that have something like this use nitrous for the intercooler, it is not harmful for the car because it simply cools the air...never seen it used on a n/a car but i know that they make it.

Many sprayer kits use CO2 instead, cheaper and easier to get in most cases.

i have a c02 sprayer for my IC that i made myself, much cheaper that way. I can tell when i have the IC cooled down when im racing my car. And it olny cost $3 to get filled at dicks. A 3000psi tank will last you like 4 months if you dont go crazy with it

Do you think the freezer would be a good replace ment for a sprayer? Well i guess not, the sprayer seems much cheaper and easier to DIY. You could probably pic up what u needed to make the sprayer yourself at a paintball shop right? A flange and a bottle basically.

No not nitrous its c02 thats sprayed around the upper IC pipe to cool the pipe, which cools the passing air, i assume like an intercooler. But instead of using passing air it uses the carbon dioxide to freeze the air. "inter-freezer" Or so they say. I dont think it would be as effective as a FMIC. Definatly not a substitute. But I dont know i dont have one or have i seen one. Thats why I started this thread.

yeah i made the pipe to mount to the front of my IC and got the hose from lowes, Tank at dicks in the paintball section. I used stainless tubing from work and drilled the holes. Works great i think

Have you noticed a siginficat difference ? Track times?

if you read the whole site they claimed to have tested a co2 sprayerthat actually lowered the hp because the engine sucked in the co2 which doesnt burn

Beware of the "tests" that show XX power increase with these sprayers. Remember that on the dyno, the little fans they setup in front of the car are nothing compared to the air pressure in front of the car at high speed. So the gains will be exagerated on the dyno, while on the street or track they wont be as high. ;)

Right, its not that it got into your engine. They sell an additional toy that they say could possibly fire up to 20' "Under the hood of your opponent" yeah fat ass chance. Had the co2 entered your engine yes it would lower the rate of burn do to the less oxygen in carbondioxide.

actually in the testing of one of theyre things a company they work with asked them to test their nitrous/co2 ic cooler when they tested it with co2 it made the car slower nitrous made it much faster because it ingested the spray. thats where theyre idea for the cheater co2 side sprayer came from

Just wondering if anyone has any additional information about the Interfreezer. Although the rest of CryoFuzion's products look terrible, the Interfreezer actually seems pretty legit. It seems to work just the same as a cylindrical air-to-water intercooler, but instead of using water it uses CO2. I don't know how cold the water usually is in an air-to-water, but the conversion of liquid CO2 to gaseous CO2 is a very endothermic process with a boiling point of -109 degrees F. The only concern I have is how efficient the Interfreezer is at transfering heat. Of course the intake teperature isn't reduced to sub-zero levels, but if the surrounding temperature in the Interfreezer is -109, I'd be willing to bet the air in the manifold has been cooled to some extent.

Take a look at all the goodies that they have to offer... I agree that if you had a SMIC with a co2 sprayer it would be pulled right up into your air filter seeming that it is right above the SMIC... but they also have the inline ones that wont draw it into the intake just runs the air past a "mini freezer" you could say.
This is where I got my manifold wrap...so far I have only done the downpipe from the bottom of the turbo to the flex piece... pretty nice...I reach under and can grab it and it doesn't burn my hand!!!!! anyway CHECK it out

I am researching the Interfreezer right now to determine if it would be a worthwhile purchase. If I end up getting the Interfreezer I will be posting my results in the Forced Induction forum.
