Do you live in the Umeå or surrounding area? If so can you tell me if there are any car modelling clubs or hobby/model shops that don't take too long to get to from Umeå?

Tack!

Not sure about clubs but as far as modeling shops go in Sweden i think there are only about three or four shops in the whole country that have a decent selection of Tamiya/Fujimii kits, and none that sell Aoshima.

The only choice i have at the moment is Lekbiten which is a toy shop. They have some good models but a very limited selection of paints and acceccories. No detail up kits, extra wheels, decal sets or anything that is even slightly advanced.

Have a look here and you'll find just about everything in Sweden. http://www.ipmssverige.org/links/index.htm BTW, use on-line shops like Hobbylink Japan and others, just search the net for more of them or PM me and I'll provide you with a bunch of links.

Thanks alot Niclas. Do you order things from these websites yourself? If so, is it a good service you get?

In case I didn't get the PM throuhg to you I can say that I had no problems what so ever with HLJ. The only drawback is if the customs lay their hands on your order. In that case you will have to pay taxes and other fees and you'll end up with the same price as buying it at your LHS in Sweden. But if it's something you really want and can't get it at home, by all means go abroad and import it your self. To see what's in the box you could always go to Hobby search and have a look, they have most of the kits opened and photographed so you can see for your self. Just follow the link.

Hi there,

I have 600+ kits in my collection and since you're really nextdoor to me maybe you might be interested in doing some deals! I have kits from 1/25 to 1/8 scale, photoetch and some decals but will only do business in the north of Sweden.

Regards,

Johnny Bergquist
