LOL, for all who notice the $$$
Ok, so the few quotes I have gotten from shops to slap on my LS6 heads and throw in the Cam, well, have all been $1500!!!!
Damn, that is more than I paid for the damn things, that can't be right... and Tacoma only paid $300 for his conversion.
Your opinions would be appreciated guys.
What is reasonable for Port and/ or polishing, I got $300 for polish alone, $500 for both.
If anyone has cheaper alternatives let me know, especially in your are in the NY area.

To do a head and cam swap your looking at around a $1000 for a garage to do it. Tacoma paying $300 is like the deal of the century. Simple garage math... even your most local yokal garages will get around $50/hr, a dealer or a performance/Camaro specific garage will get more like $75/hr. I bet Chevy's flat rate labor book says around 15-20hours for a head and cam swap.

yeah man, doing the heads on an LS1 in the car, especially on an F body where its back under the windsheild, is a bitch, id say those quotes are pretty fair.
