First, upload the pictures onto your computer via digicam, scanner, etc. Then, save it in a folder. Go to www.imageshack.us. click on browse, and open the folder that the picture is saved in. click on the picture's file. Next, click Host it. copy the link that says ... and paste it in your post.

Hey man, thats actually pretty good. The proportions look pretty good, the wheels look pretty good. But the parmker is well, not. Marker is a very hard medium to work with and you cant see reflections. Instead, use graphite for shading. And get some stumps and tortillions to blend the pencil marks smooth.

mike i think he copied the drawing (cut and paste) and then painted in top of it thats why the proportions look good (its ilov2xlr8's BMW m3 drawing) and first of all imnogoodatwatido change the nick to icanbegoodatwhatido ..thats the attitude you need ..and you said you cant draw straight lines i guess thats where you will need to start try just drawing straight and parallel lines over and over again thats you you become more and more fluent after that try practicing curved lines and of course elipses and circles (hmmm ...i can see bonzelite saying "get a book on engineering or technical drawing and study 1,2,3 point perspective" which i think you should do)...anyway im sure bonze has much better advice on this thing than me

That is a very difficult angle you picked,.. But for a first drawing it is really good. Work on proportions and shading.

I noticed you went ahead with the colouring. That is good. It shows that you are confident and not afraid of going one step further.

PS, just don't mess with SecretMod....you'll most likely regret it...

Thanx man...but i just like to add alot of detail which i know im not skilled enough to do yet..lol i can barely draw a straight line...plus i dont get how to make the flames look like they run from hood to the side of the car but thanx for the compliments and warning bout mod lol....

Yeah. Don't make enemies while you're stil a newb. Secretmodder was merely telling you not to do pointless posts so you won't get banned. He wasn't yelling at you or anything, he was just trying to tell you something.

Also, try using the box method. It would help alot with the proportions.

SeCrEtMoDdEr

ok. you should really try the grid method. that would help you A LOT.

why'd you draw the wheels at that angle. If you drew a side pic of the car, those wheels would kind of fit. In this angle, they dont fit at all. the car looks like its hovering because of those wheels, or it got dropped from a building and landed on its wheels, thus making the wheels get deformed and ruined.

to draw a straight line...use a ruler

as for the flames, they look odd. They're too obese and need to be much thinner. Look at reference pics from truck magazines, they usually have flames on their cars. Most of them are thin and have a certain shape.

Sooo... you should definately use the grid method to help with all of your proportion problems, then post up pictures. And make sure you take your time. I can't stress that enough.

take take take take take your time.

hey, to make the paint look better u shud try using Prismacolor markers, i use them myself, theyre pretty excpensive, $3 a marker, if u wanna see whut it looks like in a drawing, go 2 www.geocitites.com/thatoneguy88888/steveos_drawings.html

imno, before you go to grid method, i will recommend that you go out and look down a railroad. ok. do you see that? look at how it vanishes away from you. when you see a warehouse or something nearby, do you see, too, how it stretches out and diminishes as it covers ground and airspace farther from your eye?

if you can grasp this, and grasp it INCESSANTLY as if it were BREATHING, than you will begin to understand the absolute and unyielding axiom of recession into space. you can grid your cars all year long and have a tea party. and you will do some impressive rendering. and you may dazzle us all. but your sketches will reveal that you are hiding behind dazzle. you must build this muscle to get anywhere else with solid clout.

you must adopt a carpet-bombing philosophy of attacking any given point of view on an object, from any vantage point from which it is seen, to garner a maximum convincing presentation of reality. and you cannot ever comprehend elipses or foreshortening of arcs unless you walk in this state of reflection that supercedes tacit dabbling or arts-and-crafts mentality.

without this necessary knowledge, you will come off as a goddamn fool the second you attempt to draw anything from your imagination or immediate enviroment with only a pencil and paper. and nothing else. you must come to point where the eraser is seldom used, if not discarded, to graduate to supreme confidence of execution and attitude.

LOL! LOL! that is frikn funny! LOL! ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!! OMFG!!

ok. keep drawing. seriously. you are brave. and you will get better. be concerned at this point with LINE> forget color for now. lets get you going with line. draw a box. ok. forget cars right now. post a drawing of a box in 3/4 profile view, as if you are seeing it with a corner nearest your eye. and draw it as if you are seeing it from eye-level in an alley way. try that and we'll go from there. nevermind color, nevermind car. just box. ok . do it. do it now. i will help you.
