i just found out with mine that you can replace the deck but you will loose the clock and disc displays cause they're from the stereo's signal. also, your system has an amp under the passanger's seat that powers the 7 speakers instead of straight through the radio. i doubt the strength of the stereo would power 2 10" properly and i doubt the amp would have the drop in ohms if you added them to any of the speaker circuits.

One more thing, if there is another output to run my own subs off the existing amp or the back of the reciever, I already have a 600watt amplifier for my 10's.

you'll have to get a converter that will connect to the wires of your 6x9's in the back. that converter will give you the connection for the rca cables to bring the signal to your amp. they sell them at walmart

wait up, Perna00 tell me more, cuz of know, I have the Infinity package with the 4disc in dash changer. I dont wanna get an aftermarket deck cuz I wanna keep the 4disc in dash changer. I have two 12's(audiobahns) and i went to circuit city n they said that I can run an amp to the stock stereo. But I sold my amp which was stupid. So now im left with two subs in a box with no amp, so what I did was i discopnnected the back 6x9s and plugged a wire from each sub to each 6x9 plug in. and it hits fairly good, but u were saying something bout the convertor that will give me the connection for the rca cables to bring signal to my amp. are u talking about the stock amp or a amp i go n buy? or r u saying that once u unplug the stock 6x9s u can get a convertor n it turns that plug into an rca or???? Im confused

the converter i'm talking about would be your best bet. you DO NOT disconnect your rear 6 x 9's so you'll still have all 7 speakers connected in the car. you splice the converter to the wires going to the 6 x 9's while they're still connected. they will take the signal going to the speakers and convert it in the unit into 2 rca plug ins while still giving your rear speakers the signal. you can then run a set of rca cables from the converter to an aftermarket amp to power your subs. this will allow you to still use your factory amp to play all of the speaker that came stock (including your rear 6 x 9's) and will give you the rca's to run another amp for the subs off of. the converter should be around $20-$30 at walmart and has adjustments to adjust the signal going to your amp to really be able to tweak out it's performance. any more question just ask.

so instead of connecting the rcas to the back of the stock deck, I would just go off the convertor but th amp turn on would wire to the back of stock deck right?and i would wire the amp just like u normally do except instead of going to the deck i go throught th convertor foer the rca cables

if the deck has rca's coming out of the back of the unit, i'd keep them there because they are running your factory amp for all of the speakers. you could use splitters but then you are reducing the voltage going to each amp. if you use the converter, it actually has an adjustment for the voltage it sends to your amp so you can actually boost the signal for maximum output for your amps input. the converter would be your best bet. since it's a stock radio, there probably isn't an extra remote wire coming out of the deck, just your power antenna one. i'd either wire the remote wire to the ignition wire that powers on with the car or you could wire it to a constant source and put a switch in. you got to remember that since the radios are pretty much made just for the application on your car, there isn't any extras like an extra set of rca outputs or a remote turn on wire.

I had replaced my infinity with a different cd player and my top display still shows time, but not cd tracks or cd times.

MitsuGrl2002 did you have to splice ur speakers? cause I got an adapter but there was two plugs one for speakers and the other one....the guys at Ride Revolution said that they show'd only one plug and I probably would have to splice my speaker wires....which I didn't wanna do ... but from what I read here I'm just going to keep my the stock deck and use a convertor .... only reason I wanted aftermarket deck was for rca hookups which I didn't notice my inf stock deck having any at all.

the stock unit has rca cables but not like what you're used to seeing. they plug in differently and have more wires grouped together because of the separate channels on the amp. you'll have to tap into the speaker wires but it's better that way cause you can adjust the voltage it puts to your aftermarket amp. that's the only way you can have actual rca connections with the stock deck

Well I don't know alot about hookin up speakers but my friends said if you use a convertor and splice into the amp where it runs to the back speakers I would overload the voltage on my factory amp ... I don't get what they was talking about but they always know their stuff so I didn't argue lol any suggestions would be grately appreciated. Thanks
